Living With Eternity in View
đź“– Scripture:
“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” — 2 Corinthians 4:18 (NIV)
❓Reflective Question:
Are your daily choices shaped more by what is temporary or by what is eternal?
Many of us live our lives with urgency — full of deadlines, demands, and distractions. But the voice of God whispers through it all: “There’s more to life than this”. Life isn’t just about the here and now; it’s preparation for forever.
The wise words of St. Paul urge us to shift our focus — not to ignore the present, but to see it through the lens of eternity. When we fix our eyes on the unseen, our priorities shift for the better. Therefore, success in this life isn’t defined by wealth but by faithfulness.
Living with eternity in view doesn’t pull us away from life; it anchors us in what truly matters. It’s the difference between building sandcastles and planting oak trees— one fades with the tide, and the other grows for generations to come. Given this, strive to leave a legacy that points to the goodness of God rather than one that is built on earthly achievement.
🙏🏽 Prayer:
“Eternal God, help me to live with heaven’s perspective. Fix my heart on what lasts, and guide my steps to reflect Your eternal purpose in all I do.”
Amen
