“Who is Jesus Christ?”
“And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
St Paul (Philippians 2:8-11)
“Who do YOU say I am?”
-Matthew 16:13
Jesus, (who is also named Jesus Christ, Jesus of Galilee, or Jesus of Nazareth), was born around 6–4 BCE in Bethlehem, and died 30 CE, in Jerusalem; being just 33 years of age. He is a religious leader revered in Christianity, one of the world's major religions. He is regarded by most Christians as the Incarnation of God, or as the author of the Book of John stated that “The Word (God) became flesh (through Jesus) and made his dwelling among us”.
According to the Gospels (the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John), Jesus was able to perform miraculous feats such as healing a wide range of illnesses by the touch of his hand or having a simple conversation with them. He was also recorded in the Bible to have the ability to walk on water, instantly create a large amount of fish and bread, raise people from the dead, calm storms, cast out demons from tormented souls, and even bring himself back to life.
