The Assurance of His Love

📖 Scripture:

“I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.” — Jeremiah 31:3 (NKJV)

❓Reflective Question:

Do you rest in the unshakable love of God, or do you let doubts steal your joy?

The love of God is beyond the concept of a fleeting emotion that just comes and goes. It isn’t an affection that is dependent on our faithfulness. It is a love that predates time, that remains steadfast through every season, and that will endure the test of time. It is everlasting, unwavering, and unbreakable.

My friend, why do you doubt His love? It has been freely given to us. Look to the cross, where His love was written in crimson ink upon the pages of history. If our great God did not spare His own one and only Son, will He now forsake you during your current struggles? If He called you by name from the depths of sin, will He now cast you away? Impossible! The love that sought for you will keep you, and the grace that saved you will sustain you.

Live, then, as one who is fully persuaded of God’s affection for them. Don’t let the enemy whisper lies of abandonment into your ears. The One who set His love upon you from the beginning of time will not grow weary of you taking care of Your now. Rest, trust, and rejoice I. God’s love for you — you are His, and you will forever be loved by Him.

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You that Your love is not fickle or frail, but steadfast and eternal. Help me to trust in Your love more than any of my feelings, and to live as one secure in Your grace. Let nothing shake my confidence in You. In Jesus’ name.”
